Marlin Thomas

Marlin Thomas



MARLIN THOMAS was born in Bronx, NY, raised in Queensbridge Houses, and educated at Queens College (City University of NewYork), Johns Hopkins University, and New York University. 


He writes academically and creatively. His academic work, which spans literary criticism, philosophy, and computer science, has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented nationally and internationally.


His creative work focuses on theater. He has written several full-length plays. Freud/Mahler has been translated into Italian and published in both in the United States and Italy. The Middleman was a final for Best Play in the 2020 New York Theater Festival. The lead actor shared the Best Actor award. Reparations was named Best Play  in the 2024 International Theater Competition. .His short works include Burqa&Rifle, Germaine&Diane, I Never Heard Such Silence, and Queensbridge. Queensbridge is under development as a full-length work.
